About / Bio

Statement

Influenced by composers such as George Brecht, James Tenney and Yoko Ono, I write compositions that can be turned into films and videos. Anyone with a camera may perform them. Some of them don't even require a camera.

If you choose to perform these scores, the work that you make belongs to you, not me (though I would appreciate being credited as the composer).

 

Bio

 

Madison Brookshire lives in Los Angeles, where he makes films, videos and music. He studied cinema at Binghamton University and the California Institute of the Arts. He currently works in the education department at MOCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
