# of Performers: For any group of sentient or non-sentient totalities or sub-totalities
Score / Notes
Stretch a wire in the water
between the sides of the container—
Not dangerous; not, like, you want anyone
to swim into it. You want
people to gather around and do something
with it. To hold their breath
long enough to hear whatever
it is that it does—to hear
the flow of water past a long, safe wire.
In groups. In groups of groups. In nonsensical
pairings of bodily sub-totalities—in groups like:
your breath and your hair, your friends and your food,
things you can't name and things you don't know exist,
things in your pocket today and things that aren't, or
whatever; all the people you'll know, soon—maybe
they will enjoy listening, unable to breathe,
pushing against the air in their lungs to stay under,
digging in the water, climbing the water down,
next to a wire they will imagine to be making
noise, and listen to it dumbly back.
