find a score you've performed, or would like to perform, that is very open to interpretation. perform it, or think of performing it, in a way that is complex, "meta", convoluted, wandering, etc, and then explain to someone your idea and rationale in a slightly vague manner. continue explaining until their eyes have glazed over, and you've lulled them into feeling more confused than when you started. at this point, don't try to backtrack, re-explain, or clarify - the piece is complete.
